Yay Spring!!

We had our first cabbage out of the garden this year. They were planted last fall but winter came on too fast for them to mature. They froze several times and looked terrible just a couple of weeks back. I pulled off all the damaged leaves and gave them a shot of compost tea. We had two small heads for dinner and they were sweet, tender and good.

BabyRomaine Lettuce just emerging from the ground. We planted these about a week ago.
I prepare the bed then use an empty Parmesan Cheese shaker to sprinkle the seeds on the bed then sift a little potting mix on top. It beats trying to make rows and handle each small seed.

Onion sets planted the same time as the lettuce. Yay! SPRING!!!
